I Am a Lady Therefore

Hello everyone!!! I was reading the Challenging Femininity Magazine for November, and I read this awesome article written by Miss Jocelyn and I just had to share it. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

I Am A Set-Apart Lady Therefore I will not…

Disrespect my family (what the Father has put together let no man put asunder)…

Sacrifice beauty for vanity and acceptance (who wants to be a whitewashed tomb)…

Defile myself by baring my flesh (If you want respect, respect yourself)…

Run men down with feminism or chivalry (Hey if they open the door – I’ll thank them. If I can help them by holding it open – No problem)…

Be forward or flirt (a pearl is to be sought after and is a rare find)…

Have a potty-mouth (instead I’m going to speak the Torah of love)…

Tempt a young man (He’s someone’s future husband.)…

Violate my purity (True love waits.)…

Have the manners of a cave-woman (I was not born in a barn.)…

Keep fellowship with loose and strange women (bad company corrupts good standards)..

Dance in a way that does not honor the Father (Grinding is done in woodshop class, not on the dance floor.)…

Abuse my body with alcohol, drugs, food, chemicals, etc (I am the dwelling place of the Set-Apart Spirit)…

Obsess about my physical appearance (I am fearfully and wonderfully made.)…

Be discontent in my current situation (the Fathers knows when we are ready, where we are at, and when we will arrive)…

Underestimate the power of YHVH (He’s bigger than my mistakes and wrong turns!)…

Fellowship with men who don’t respect me (I am a set-apart child of the Father)…

Disrespect the wise counselors the Father has placed in my life (only a fool hearkens not unto advice and counsel)…

Let my heart’s guard down until a commitment is made (marriage is forever, it is not to be taken lightly)…

Lose faith in the Father (He knows all things and all we need to do is trust)…

I am a set-apart lady therefore I know where my hope lies.
