I took a 30 day break from the computer, and then I got hit with writer's block! :( But I'm back now. Not much has been going on around here. Preparing for A.P's takes up most of my time, so that's something.
We have had an average of 3 inches of snow for the past four years, but this year we've had more than 12 inches in four weeks. That is more than enough for me. It's beginning to warm up here, and I'm looking forward to spring. The snow was pretty though.
I have been attending a sewing class for the past four weeks. I have a wonderful teacher who we''ll call Mrs. P. She has been sewing since she was seven, and currently sews all her clothes. Mrs. P. is so dedicated to sewing, she wears a seam ripper around her neck. (It's handy. :D ) She is very patient, adn takes the time to answer al of our questions. She showed us some of the projects that she has done, and got everyone excited about sewing. I look forward to going to class every week. Our first project is a bag.
I'm making the blue one. I'm learning so much, and one day, Lord willing, I 'll be able to sew my own clothes.I purchased a head covering from Cover Your Hair, and I was very pleased with it. I definitely will use them again. It looks like this

I need to learn how to sew! I took a two day sewing class, but that didn't help at all. The teacher assumed we all knew how to read our own patterns and use a sewing machine :(
Nice headcovering! Is that the wide headband? I wanted to get myself one of those to start with.

You are too lucky to be in a sewing class. I have 3 different types of sewing machines and i still can't use any!
Hello - I ran into your profile on facebook and followed the link here. I just wanted to encourage you on your walk with the Lord and covering your head! Also, what a blessing to have a sewing teacher. I believe sewing is soon to be a 'lost art' - which is really too bad because it's a very important skill to know.
